Van Baldwin Obituary

Van, departed the constraints of this world for eternal life on Monday, March 9, 2009. Mr. Baldwin is survived by his daughter, Mellanie Brenier; her husband, Spencer and grandson, Kyser all of Gouthier, Mississippi; his Mother, Jeannie Kelly and step father, Patrick Kelly of Pearland, TX; a brother, Rodney Plaggmeyer of Galveston, TX; niece, Natasha Selim of Mulberry, Fl; his maternal grandmother, Deloris Rogers of Colorado Springs, Co; an aunt, Shirley Cummins and uncle, Donald Cummins of Colorado Springs, Co. He is also survived by many cousins and countless others in which he touched and befriended over the span of his life. Van, was born in Colorado Springs on Aug. 27, 1962 and resided here until 1974; at that time he moved to Laurel, Mississippi. Van returned to Colorado Springs often to visit family and friends. Van, moved back to Colorado Springs, in 1998 and began working for Fenton Plumbing and Heating. Van lived here until returning to Texas in 2002. Van, was an outstanding athlete, excelling in football and baseball. Van enjoyed the honor of being named an All American in both sports. Van, also enjoyed fishing and any activity that took him outdoors. Van, served in the United States Air Force and never lost his love for this country. The love and memory of Van will not be forgotten. A private celebration of Van's life will be held.
