Van Shaw Obituary

Van B. Shaw died peacefully at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs on November 3, 2006 of colon cancer. He is greatly missed by his family, neighbors and many friends from Colorado College, several bridge groups, the Bronco Fan group, the Senior Choral of the Rockies, Boggle games, the B&B Men's Group, the First Congregational Church, and other associations. Van is survived by his son and family, Benson, Patti and Jaeger of Seattle, WA. Van boasts a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and their children now dispersed across the nation from the Shaw and Larson family homes in rural Kansas and Nebraska. Memorial service: 11:00 am Friday, November 10th, First Congregational Church 20 E. Saint Vrain. Please send memorial donations in Van's name to a charity of your choice or to Ecumenical Social Ministries, 201 N. Weber, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

I remember how wonderful and hospitable Van and his wife Jane were when I visited a number of years ago. I also remember their beautiful home. Please send my regards to Benson and family.
