Vera J. Patnode, 85, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on September 4, 2025, in The Healthcare Resort of Colorado Springs.
She was born on December 16, 1939, to C. Max and Vera Keith in Nova (Ashland County) Ohio.
Vera J. went to high school at Polk School in Ohio and graduated in 1958. She worked as a supply inventory clerk for Columbus Depot for 10 years, before moving to Colorado Springs in 1984.
She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Samuel; brother, William (Bill) Keith; parents, and the love of her life, Dennis Patnode.
Vera is survived by her sisters, Janet of Deltona, Florida, Cleo of Vickery, Ohio, Grace of Clyde, Ohio, and Ruth of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; sons, Mark Vosteen and Kenneth Esterline.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Springs First Nazarene Church of Colorado Springs.
Memorial Service will be held at 12:00PM, Friday, September 12, 2025, At the Springs First Nazarene Church.

This is a sad loss as Vera had become a good friend through our hospice visits over the past several months. She enjoyed animals of all kinds, and she especially loved watching the birds at the birdfeeder outside her window. Vera beautifully colored many different pictures, which were hung all over her room and really brightened it up. She also enjoyed sitting outside in the sun, watching the many unique cars drive by. I truly enjoyed spending time with Vera during this precious time in her life. I miss you, Vera.
