Met Verle when Kelly and I sat next to him and Marlis at CC hockey games at the World Arena. I knew from the minute I met him he was a great guy. Very sweet man, intelligent, knew hockey and never got mad at me for having to explain what the call was and why. Was quiet, but had a dry sense of humor. What I liked most about Verle was he always laughed at my feeble humor. He would just look at me and I could make him smile. Saw firsthand what a great husband, father, and grandfather he was and know he was very proud. His love remains strong within all of you. He's still in my heart. My love to the Olson family.
