Vern Downey Obituary
Vern is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy Downey (Schade), sister Evelyn Vaughan, children and grandchildren Lori and Kyleigh Downey, Cheryl and Edward Snow, Kent, Autumn, Konnor Downey, Amanda and Karma Brewer, and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
Services are scheduled at Heart of the Springs Church, 2726 N. Union Boulevard, Colorado Springs, on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart of the Springs Church - Nursing Home Ministry.

There are some people that you never forget and Vern and Judy Downey lead the list, having come to the aid of my family in our dire need. I love you both and will remember you always. My self-imposed isolation over the years does not mean that I am not thinking of you. Love, health, peace, and prayers.
