My prayers and heart go out to Vee and Christine. I light a candle in Victor's Memory, for his light will forever remain bright in his families hearts and memories. Rest in Peace, Victor. Your work is done.

I met Victor because he was friends with my best friend's husband (Norman and Sandy Mansfield). Victor and I became friends because I am a Veterans' widow and he respected my husband. When something bad happened to me and I was afraid, they all came up to my home. Victor stayed by my side with my dog Rosco (English Mastiff and friend of Victor's.) Victor kept me calm and assured me he would not let anyone hurt me. He did this not only for his friend Norman, but out of respect for my husband.
I felt safe around Victor, I know he was protective of me because my husband was his Brother in Arms who both served their country for 22 years. One of the things I loved most about Victor was that he would always say hi to my dogs before me. He was a great man who respected other people. My heart goes out to his wife and daughter because I know the pain of losing both husband and father. I did not know Victor a long time, but his military ways, his compassion for others and his love of English Mastiffs made me love him as a life long friend. I feel sorry for the whole world because we have all lost a great man and those are few and far between.

Victor was a great friend. He was there when needed and we never tired of the stories he could tell. Our dogs were always in heaven when he came to visit for, as he called it, "his doggie fix". We will miss the fun times shared with Victor; only wish there could have been many more. We will cherish the memories. Good-bye our friend.

Vic Brown and were in the first group of ITT/G4 Force Protection at Camp Bondsteel in 2003. He was a straight up guy. I thought he was nuts for bicycling up and down the big mountain, Brezovica.
Rest easy.
