Victoria Emery Obituary

EMERY, VICTORIA LEE PRAHL November 10, 1942 to May 13, 2006 Vicki was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, the second child of Charles and Patricia Prahl. Throughout her childhood, she and her family moved with the Navy to exciting ports of call, such as Virginia, Washington, D.C., California and the Pacific Islands, finally settling in Seattle when her dad assumed his post as Director of the Washington State Ferries and then State Department of Highways. Vicki loved being a "Navy Brat," and was a particularly proud graduate of Immaculata High School in the Nation's Capitol. She married John Emery in 1963 and had two children, Colleen and Scott before the family settled near San Diego, California. Vicki loved being a mother, learning and teaching and was proud to graduate with a B.S. in International Business and Japanese from San Diego State University. Vicki is survived by her children, Colleen (Colin) of Seattle, and Scott (Heather) of Harrisburg, PA, and her beloved grandchildren, India, Beau, Meara and Garrett. She is also survived by her sisters Pamela Bonham and Lisa Ramey and her brother Kip Prahl. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shelley. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Vicki's life is planned for May 19th at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Seattle. Remembrances can be made to the Holy Rosary School endowment fund. My dearest Victoria,

I will never forget you or the wonderful friendship that we shared. You had the biggest, kindest heart of anyone that I've ever met! I'm so sorry that you're gone, but I know that you're in a much better place now... and out of pain. I love you! Y've...Chuck's sister.
