Uncle Vinny,

I'll never forget how my grade school teacher didn't believe me when I told the class that my Uncle drove us to the top of the Rocky Mountains and bought us doughnuts; and they raced cars to the top too. I miss days like those.

All of the stories that my dad shares with me, about you guys growing up, always reflects you in a light of respect and admiration.

Corrine, BooBoo, and Carolyn,
My condolences to you and your families.

It was so nice to be with the family at Uncle Vinny's memorial and reminisce about times with Uncle Vinny, Aunt Louise and you girls. I remember Uncle Vinny coming home from work with his lunchbox in hand each day and Aunt Louise having dinner ready...at 4:30!!! And I always think of him when I see clips of Billy Martin and Yogi Berra! He'll be missed here by all of his family and friends but I know my mother, grandma and grandpa are happy to be with him again.
Love to all of you...Hope to see you girls soon....Janice

Sonny,

You left New York many years ago but because of the telephone and later the computer, I always felt you were still here with us. I still feel you are still with us now. The only difference is all I need to do is look up and I can talk to you anytime I want. I know you are in a good place now with Mom, Dad, Ann & Tony and of course, Louise.

Thanks for being such a great big brother. You took me to the Yankees game to see Marris hit his 56th homerun the year he broke Ruth’s record and you took me to my 1st Ranger game. Thanks for driving me back to Mamaroneck Ave School the day I came home crying because some big kid hit me. You told me what to do and from that day on, no one picked on me again. Thank you for breaking Mom and Dad in by signing their name to the permission slip to play sports. Thanks for telling me not to become a plumber (where were you when I decided to become a mover?). Thank you for bringing Louise into our family and three beautiful daughters.

In your honor, we're eating wedges for dinner tonight.

Love always,

Andrew(Dooch), Georgia, Donna and Wendy

Dear Uncle Vinny,
Thank you for all the great memories I have from my childhood here in New York and out in Colorado. Seeing a photo of you with your brothers and friend that sits on our desk for the past twenty plus years at our farm and hearing stories about you often, especially when up at our hunting camp brings you close to our family even though you were far away. You will always be in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.

To my cousins who I have lost touch with over the years but could never forget. Carolyn, who knew how to push my buttons and get me in trouble but I couldn't leave alone whenever we had the chance to be together, Boo, who made me laugh and have a good time no matter what we were doing, and Corinne who stuck up for me when Carolyn got me in trouble (even on the few occasions when it was my fault). Thank You. Know that even though we've been out of touch we will always be family. My thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time.

Danny

Uncle Vinny,

When I was young, my family and I took a most memorable trip to visit you, Aunt Louise, Corinne, Boo and Carolyn. Even though my family of five drove out in a tiny, uncomfortable ford pinto station wagon, it turned out to be one of the best trips I ever experienced. You were so proud and happy to show us your Colorado. Places like Pikes Peak, 7 Falls, the Garden of the Gods, and the Rodeo are still very vivid in my memory. I believe you are in a better place. I pray that those you left behind will always keep you in their hearts and will find the strength to move on with their lives. Most of all I hope they keep the faith that one day we will all be reunited.

Dear Corrine, BooBoo,and Carolyn,
As I wrote to Corrine a short time ago, distance has never kept us from being family. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. I will always remember Uncle Vinnie as my dads big brother. I know that he filled those shoes while he lived in NY and continued to when you guys moved to Colorado. A little piece of our hearts left with you when you moved away, and another small piece went with Uncle Vinnie to his final resting place. Not to worry though because there is plenty of hearts and love to go around. You are always in my heart. Love your family, love your friends, love yourself...He raised you well.

All my love,
Cousin Frankie

Sonny,
My brother of 65 years has gone forever. I want to call you so many times and then I remember that you are not there anymore. It's so hard to believe that you are gone. It's so hard to be away from those you love, especially when they are ill and you want to be there to help in some way. You are now with your first and only love, Louise, who was a very special woman. I know that you missed her very much and that now your are where you really wanted to be, with Louise.
Our last words to each other on the phone just before you both passed,
"I Love You" will stay in my heart and thoughts forever. Till we meet again.
"I Love You"
Your Sister Flora

Uncle Vinny,

I remember as a little girl when you use to blow in your thumb and your muscle would grow. We use to make you do it a thousand time, and still couldnt figure out how you did it. We didnt get to see you often, but when we did, you would always know how to put a smile on our faces and make us laugh. You will forever remain in our hearts.

I have many fond memories in your home as a young girl with Corinne, Boo (sorry-never got used to calling you Ann), Carolyn, Vinnie and Louise when you first moved here from New York.

Treasure your memories and rely on your friends. You are all in my thoughts and in my prayers.

Though I have known you for only 6 years, you have become "dad" to me. I will always remember the 'Super Bowl' parties at our house and will cherish the memories we have shared together. You were always there for us for whatever we needed. I know you are in a better place now.

You will always be in my heart! I love and miss you Dad!!

Vincent, I pray our time apart will be short and that your crown is heavy with jewels you brought into our lives. Good bye, temporarily, my friend.

To Vince's family, I'm sorry for your loss and I pray that your grief will become joy as soon as possible!
