Vincent Wallace Obituary

Vincent Kingsley Wallace Jr, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack December 16, 2008. Vince was born in Michigan and spent time on the family dairy farm in Manchester, MI. He graduated from Brother Rice High School in Royal Oak, MI. Vince and his family moved to Colorado Springs in 1982. Vince was the shop manager at Arthur's Paint and Collision and has devoted his life to the auto body industry. He was a dedicated, hard-working man. Vince is survived by Nancy Cowan of Green Mountain Falls; his son, Vincent III of Norwood, CO and his daughters, Kristin (Chris) and Sarah (Jay) of Colorado Springs. Vince is also loved as "Papa" by his grandchildren, Sean, Taylor, Morgan, Caitlyn, Jayna, and Kierra. Vince is the oldest brother of Michael (Thailand), Carmella and Elizabeth (Michigan). He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Sr. and Elaine. Vince was also a loving friend and mentor to many. Vince loved the Colorado outdoors while believing there was nothing better than spending time hunting, fishing and breathing the mountain air, which he described as "different" from other air. Vince was the "Camp Commander" at the hunting camp every fall and enjoyed the planning of the yearly trip. Vince was a generous, light-hearted, prepared and gentle man who loved Nancy's cooking, NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends. He was an amazing story teller whose stories grew with each telling. A remembrance service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 East Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. We invite you to come and remember Vince with his family. Memorial donations may be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, for Vince Wallace Memorial, P.O. Vince: We had some great times together. Not much trouble. We talked of them several times. Some are best forgotten, but still a memory of them are good, because at that time, the times were good. And deserved to be remembered. Hunting was your joy and cabin days were your quite time that you enjoyed. You were a good Adjuster and a great body shop manager. You will definitely be missed and very often rembered. REST IN PEACE,

Vinnie, my Brother, I miss you terribly and I, like everyone that knew you, am torn up with your abrupt departure. I vividly remember the screwy things we talked about ( when I should have been working) and I will cherish those chats forever. You were one "good old boy" and someone who I could trust to do what he said and say what he does. In fact, I have few people that I deal with that "giving your word" is all it takes to get the job done. And the respect worked both ways, Mr. Wallace. May you forever rest in peace Vinnie-the bucks and bulls I am sure, are having one heck of a party right about now! Godspeed my brutha'.

Dad!
My Ol' Man!
My hero and my best friend.
I will never forget all that you have taught me throughout my life. I know life because of you dad. The important things WWF, NASCAR, hunting, fishing, the mountains, four wheeling and most importantly, how to tell a good story. I am who I am Dad, because of you. Your kind words, your love, and your continually support. I wish we had more time, but there are no good byes. You are with me always and I will see you one day in the future. I love you, your baby girl, Sarah

Our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Vince. Though we didn't know him well, as his customer he always took fantastic care of us. As a vendor, he was a fantastic customer to deal with, and will be greatly missed by all of us here at BAP, and all that knew him.

We will always remember Vince and the fun times we had with him and his family. He was a great guy and had a wonderful sense of humor. If we ever had a dent to fix or a windshield to replace, Vince would always help us out. Our sympathy goes out to his family.

Vinney - It is hard to believe you left us so suddenly...I enjoyed our time most up on Aspen Ridge and the front porch; it just won't be the same without you around anymore. We know you will be there in spirit though. Probably laughing at the chaos and chair flying antics that will unfold on deciding who becomes 'Camp Commander.' Those are going to be hard boots to fill. See you on the other side.

Nancy, we are so sorry for your loss and the sadness you must now endure. Although we never had the pleasure of meeting Vince, we know he was a loving man because he had you. May your memories sustain you as Vince remains forever in your heart.
