Virginia Jayne Obituary

Virginia was born in Collbran, Colorado. She retired from US West Telephone Company.  She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints and served in the Denver Temple for two years with her husband. She extracted over 18,000 names for the church Index program. The last 29 years she and her husband spent winters in Mesa, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ivy Franklin; siblings, Nita Hiner, Edna Donna, Violet Bond, Tom Franklin, Art Franklin, Newell Franklin; and grandchildren, Brian Jayne and Jennifer Jayne. 

She is survived by her husband, Fred Jayne; sons, Fred Eugene Jayne (Paula), Ronald Jayne (Charlotte), daughter Denise Pyne (Terry); grandchildren Jeffrey Jayne, Melissa Strain (Joe), Crystal Colville, Justin Pyne, Toria Pyne, Christina Martin; great grandchildren, Charon Strain, Matea Strain, Jaya Pyne, Ava Gardner, Lydia Gardner, Lexus Gardner and Jack Gardner; and sister Rosalie Waller.

Viewing: Chapel of Memories funeral Home, 829 S. Hancock, Colorado Springs 6:30 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, August 11.

Funeral: LDS Chapel, 4955 Meadowland Blvd, Colorado Springs, 11am Wednesday, August 12.  Internment Fort Logan National Cemetery.
