Virginia "Virgie" (Gallegos) Lambrecht

She was 88, Born in Pueblo, CO. She is survived by "My 3 beautiful girls,"-Lorene Richardson (John Garvey), Arika Lambrecht (Richard Morrow Sr), & Regina Taylor (Dan Taylor), 4 granddaughters-Melanie Zerr, Sabrina Michaels (Patrick Michaels), Starla Mourn (Austin Mourn), & Alyssa Richardson, 1 grandson-Ricky Morrow Jr, 4 great grandchildren-Bryan Zerr (Kaitlynn Zerr), Dakota Michaels, Braydon Zerr, & Noah Michaels, nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her father-Juan Gallegos, mother-Guadalupe Gallegos, siblings-Conception Martinez, Angela Valdez, Carmen Dall, & Francisco Gallegos Jr & nieces & nephews. Mama's Faith was phenomenal, she loved JESUS so much. GOD was always #1 with mama. Mama had a sacrificial love for her family-she was the best! Family time was very important to her. Attending church was her favorite. Mama loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas, she loved to bowl, dance, play cards, & read. She loved her Pooh Bear. She graduated from Central High School, Pueblo, CO. Retired as a Foreign Language Specialist after 35 years from the Air Force Academy. We would like to thank her Hospice care team-Aisha and Christina. Her Rosary will be at Holy Apostles Catholic Church (4925 N. Carefree Cir 80917) 28th September 2023 @ 6:00 pm. Funeral Service will be at Holy Apostles 29th September 2023 @ 11:00 am. Reception following Mass-29th Sept, downstairs. Inurnment service 29th September 2023 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral, (22 West Kiowa St. 80903) Flowers & gifts may be sent or brought to Holy Apostles.

Mama it has been 19 days since you went home to be with JESUS! N, yesterday we celebrated your beautiful life! Your boss was there, friends from ur work, ur nieces and nephews, all your immediate family. My heart hurts mama! I can´t explain this pain! I have been numb for 2 1/2 weeks n I think "reality" is hitting me! I want to say, "I miss you mama," but I don´t even think describes it. I think it´s a stronger word than, "miss," but idk what it is! I love you so so so so much!

Virginia, you were one of my closest friends while working at the Air Force Academy from 1969 to the present. Of course, you had already worked there for many years before I started. We started carpooling together. We had such good times together--which included eating at the Japanese Steakhouses around town and our trip to Europe in 2010. You have such a beautiful family who have taken such good care of you, especially during your illness. Your faith is strong and powerful and always kept you going during your darkest hours. Virginia was a special gem at the Foreign Language Department of the Air Force Academy. She was caring, thoughtful, and always ready to help. She approached all with a wonderful smile and you knew immediately she was on your side. Her kindness to all will be missed and will be rewarded in heaven. Our deepest condolences to the family. May she rest in peace.
