Virginia Valdez Obituary

July 30, 1942 - February 27, 2008. 65, passed away at Pikes Peak Hospice from cancer. She was a homemaker. Ms. Valdez was born in Aguilar, CO to Julian and Sophie Valdez. She is survived by her brother John F. Valdez (Margaret), sisters; Marie Joyce and Mary Bramer (Donald) and predeceased by her following siblings; Beatrice Darnel, Pauline Joyce, Edward, Eloy, Jimmy Valdez and her loving companion, "Otis" her pet pug. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews with one very dear to her heart; Robert J. Valdez (Lisa) of North Pole, Alaska. A vigil will be from 5 - 7 p.m. with the rosary to follow at Cappadona Funeral Home, 1020 E. Fillmore St. on Monday, 3 March. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, 4 March at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1520 E. Yampa St. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Divine Redeemer Food Pantry, 1520 E. Yampa St., Colorado Springs 80909.
