Vito Martinez Obituary

Vito E. Martinez passed into Eternal Life with our Lord on Wednesday, January 11,2017.

After dating Elva for three months, they married and have been together 59 years. He was a loving and devoted husband. A true match made in Heaven.

He worked for civil service and retired from the Federal Government after 30 years. Then, he worked as a

security guard for 6 years at Ent Federal Credit Union.

Vito was a devout Catholic and loved to pray the

Rosary and his Novenas

daily.

Vito honorably served in the U.S. Army, 12th Infantry Regiment from 1953 to 1955. He was a member of the VFW, post #4051.

Vito enjoyed dancing,

fishing, reading western

novels; but most of all he enjoyed life and people. Vito was known for his great sense of humor.

He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Vito is survived by his wife, Elva Martinez; brother Luz and his family in Denver, Colorado; brother-in-law Nick Medina in Concord, California; brother-in-law Roy Medina, Colorado Springs, Colorado; and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly.

He is preceded by his

parents, Jose Martinez and Rosanita (Vialpando)

Martinez, brother Alex

Martinez, sister Josephine Tafoya, brother Selso

Martinez.

Rosary and Mass will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm at
