Wally and Maxine became dear friends when we moved to Crystal Park as a young family of five. Wally helped my husband Ray build our log cabin on the top of Crystal Park. They were the most kind, sincere, faithful Christians I've ever known. Our lives were richer for having met them. When we moved back to OK we stayed in touch with them by phone as we couldn't go to see them. Wally was perhaps my husband's closest friends. Thank you so much for letting me know about his final journey home. I know he, Maxine, and Ray are having a great celebration.

It is hard to think of Wally without thinking of Maxine as well. They were always "Maxine & Wally" for as long as I can remember! We enjoyed several visits to see them in Colorado with my mother (Maxine's sister) and with our kids. They were always so gracious and Wally helped Jim with our car -- I think he loved getting his head under the hood of most any vehicle!! We are so happy we got to see Uncle Wally this past summer.

Dear Family:
I am so sorry to hear Wally passed, but rejoicing in knowing he is now with Maxine and together they will pave the way for us when the time comes. I remember when he would come with Maxine to the Greyhound bus station and pick us up after the long ride from Houston. We would then head over to Grandma Grace's for KFC or Ham on buttered rolls. Uncle Kenny used to also bring us and the stories they would tell and the reunions we would have, I miss those days. God Bless you at this time and thank you for sharing Wally's life with us. Growing up on a farm near Hope, MN, I always looked forward to Maxine & Wally visiting us on their annual trip to Albert Lea to visit their mothers. Maxine was my Mom's younger sister. Wally told me how much he loved Colorado. Carolyn & I were married in 1969 but postponed our grand honeymoon until 1970 when we visited Maxine & Wally and saw Colorado for the first time. In 1978, we relocated to Boulder and had so many good times with them. Wally always had a 'project' (usually a Mercedes) going in his garage. It was fascinating to observe the magic he created with his many tools. Wally was a special person and we will miss him. But, we rejoice that he is once again reunited with his beloved, Maxine.

Wally was such a great person and neighbor to us at Skyline. He was really part of our family. I walked by their house to get my mail and always stopped by to visit which lasted a long time often. We had so much to talk about it was hard to stop. It was an honor to know Wally and Maxine and live so close to them. He was always ready to help with anything and was a special neighbor.

Wally was a good friend and neighbor to my parents in Colorado Springs. He was very kind and generous loaning us tools when my folks moved in. We enjoyed talking with him each time we visit them from Oklahoma. We were saddened to hear of his passing. He will be missed by many, especially my Dad who enjoyed his friendship and company.
