I want to send condolences to all of the Vlach family. Growing up in Wausau I have many fond memories of the time we spent together. I especially remember vacationing with all of you and the fishing trips I went on with Wally and my father. The fishing trips where we went smelting in Kewaunee are remembered more fondly then the cold days ice fishing where although I very much enjoyed the time with Wally and my father, the fishing was never good.

The Sturms send condolences to you all. Many fond memories of Wally and
your family run through my mind as I write this--from going smelting in
Kewaunee to sledding in your backyard. We shared so much more than a lawnmower! I was fortunate to have godparents so close by that really did provide a positive influence on my life. Thank you. –Tom and Mom Sturm

Mr. Vlach, what an honor it was for me to meet you and your lovely wife. As a long-time friend of you son, Mike, I came to appreciate what you must have endured during Mike's formative years and how, through it all, you and Mrs. Vlach diligently stayed the course and raised a son, who I am proud to call my friend and brother-in-Christ. May God now receive and keep you for all of eternity, at peace...at rest. Ken

Wally, You will be missed. I have so many great memories of growing up with you and your family. Our trips to the cottages in the summer and our picnics to Crytal Lake will never be forgotten. I know you are in heaven with my dad. I said you and my dad are golfing but my mom said that Wally and Don are up there ice fishing. I'll never forget you. You were my second dad. Love, Linda
