We will miss that beautiful deep voice on the other end of the telephone line. Doesn't seem possible how long it's been since we met you and your "Ladies" over the CB radio in Rome, New York, & you asked "Smilin' Jack" when you should put snow tires on for the winter. I remember too the day KCKate776 came back to his call some time later & J.R. said "Today!" (The snow was coming down & sticking to the ground). Not much warning, but then that's always true of John. We are so grateful that the Lord took you quickly and without much warning, because lingering would have driven you Nuts! We will miss you, Walter. We love you and we're praying for your family, J.R. & Slick Davis

I knew Wally mostly through his Mom and Dad who were as close as famiy could ever be..for 39 years !

To Kathy and all of Walt's family -
Walt was a true gentleman and teammate - 100% class. A joy to work with as well as a good friend to listen to and share stories with.
You all will be in our prayers during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathies to all of you. I wish so much that I was closer right now. To echo Kristin sentiments, we always were "up to things" and Mr. A always took it all in stride. Please know that whatever you all need I will do my best to help. Call me anytime you need.

Walt was a good person that I knew I could always depend on if needed. He would help in any way he could either by just listening, or giving his honest opinion. His friendship will be missed.
