Walter Hartland Law passed away on May 15th. He had just celebrated a birthday with his family the Saturday before. Walter was a veteran of the Navy and moved to Colorado Springs to attend Colorado College and study archeology and biology. He was an avid member of the local chapter of the Colorado Archeology Society. He was a fly fisherman for years and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hiking. He was also a gardener and had many raised beds growing vegetables in his backyard. Walt was predeceased by his mother, Rosamund, his father, George, his sister Munda, the mother of his children, Joan, and two sons, Jeffrey and James. Walt is survived by his wife, Shirley, two sons Christopher and David and grandchildren, Ali, Nick and Jasmine. He was a sweet gentleman who was kind and loved Colorado. He will be missed by his family. A Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the local Alzheimer's Association.

I was always happy to encounter Walt Law at gatherings over the years. Indeed, he was a Sweet Gentleman.
