Walter Maloney Obituary

Maloney
WALTER MALONEY

Walter Maloney was born in Cavalier, North Dakota. He spent his childhood in the logging camps of Stillwater and Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada. He graduated from the University of North Dakota and earned a medical degree at the University of Washington in Seattle. It is there that he met and married his wife, Kay. He volunteered to serve in the military during two wars. Later he and his wife moved to Colorado Springs where they raised their family and Walt practiced medicine for 35 years. During retirement he enjoyed his two passions--spending time with his family and fishing. He is survived by his five daughters and their families.
The family will be receiving and greeting friends from 11:30 - 12:45 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122 Poinsetta Dr., Colorado Springs, CO with a Mass of Christian Burial planned for 1:00 p.m. Private burial to follow.

My sincerest condolences to the girls from an old neighbor. I remember growing up down the street (Chelton Rd.) and me and the girls all grew up together. Rest in peace, Sir.

My deepest sympathy to Dr. Maloneys family. Dr. Maloney delivered my sister in 1969 and me four years later. Then I was very fortunate to have him deliver my first daughter in 1991. He was an amazing man, with a loving and caring bedside manor. Condolences to your family.

Sorry for your loss. He was my GYN for many years. I was so disappointed when he retired but I understood.
