Walter Medeiros Obituary

Sept 21, 1920 - Jan 30, 2009 Walter L. Medeiros, age 88, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs passed away Friday, January 30, 2009. He was a CW3 (Ret.) in the United States Army and served during World War II and the Korean War. He retired at Fort Carson in 1963. Walter Louis Medeiros was born on September 21, 1920 in Hilo, Hawaii to Francis T. and Marie (Cambra) Medeiros. He was a 1939 graduate of Hilo High School and married Henrietta Mahaulu on May 29, 1943 in Honolulu. He is survived by his children: Marlene (Mike) Parquette; Walter Lance Medeiros; Vernon Medeiros; Patricia (Kerry) Langness; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Henrietta and grandson Jason Parquette. Visitation will be from 1 - 2 pm on Monday, February 9, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road with a memorial service to follow.

Dear Patty, I remember your Dad as a very nice guy everytime I was at your house. Your Mom too. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.I subscribe to the Gazette online even though I have not lived in Springs since 1973. My condolences to your family. Best regards to Kerry.
