Dear Grant,
May the Lord uphold you as you lean on Him and may He comfort you at this time with His gentle touch. From the time I first met you and Wanda in January 1985 at the Assembly of God Church to your standing up for me at Alan's and my wedding in '89 and your friendship thereafter, I will never forget Wanda and you for all the good you have sown into my life. I am forever changed for the better for having known you and Wanda. I especially remember Wanda's tender loving kindness toward all the children in the bus ministry and toward every one of us that she met. You and Wanda have etched an indelible mark on my life with your kindness, befriending and support, your faithful life and model of service, and your guiding hand into the things of God and into the service of our Lord. You two have ministered to so very many; Alan and I are blessed and thankful this day to have been among them.
All our love,
Alan and Lori Niemeyer

Dearest Grant,
May God's peace and love surround you and his spirit minister healing to your heart as you lay Wanda to rest.
As I look back over the years my mind takes me to the days when you and Wanda ministered in the nursing home and encouraged us kids to go along to minister with you. What a team you were! I recall Sunday mornings Wanda could be found teaching or hugging a child, singing in the choir, or praying with someone at the altar. Those are precious memories of a woman dedicated to her Lord. She was an amazing woman and friend who was loved and respected by so many. She left her mark of gentleness and caring on countless lives.
What a thrill for her to hear those words "good and faithful servant" when she entered the gates of heaven! I can only imagine the excitement and joy she must feel to finally see him face to face and worship at his feet.
I'm so sorry for your loss and pray that the Holy Spirit will be your comforter and companion as you face the road ahead. You are in our prayers. We love you!

Dear Grant,
Sharon and I have have had great love and respect for Wanda and for you for 33 years, since we first moved to Colorado Springs.
Wanda was so caring, so gracious. She was truly a 'Woman of God." Our lives have been enriched because of her.
May Jesus Christ be your friend, greater than ever before. No one exceeds Him in love, peace, and wisdom, but, best of all, He wants to be our friend. In St. John 15:15 Jesus called His disciples .... His friends. It's better to take your loneliness to the Lord than to carry a burden too great to bear.
I love the words of this song.....
TO STEP ON SHORE, AND FIND IT HEAVEN,
TO TAKE HOLD OF A HAND, AND FIND IT'S GOD'S HAND,
TO BREATHE NEW AIR, AND FIND IT CELESTIAL AIR,
TO FEEL INVIGORATED, AND FIND IT IMMORTALITY,
TO STEP FROM STORM AND TEMPEST, TO UNBROKEN CALM,
TO AWAKEN.... AND FIND.... YOU'RE .... HOME !!
Wanda must be singing today !!

Grant-
I want you to know that you and Wanda were very special friends to me. When I first came to the church, Wanda was the first person who came down to the altar to pray with me. We became very good friends and although it is a great loss to all of us, I'm so thankful that we'll see her again. God bless you as I know it wasn't easy to take care of her near the end but God knows and helps us when our strength is gone.

Grant, You and Wanda changed our lives those 30+ years ago when we were young and energetic. We are so very sorry to know that this earth is graced with one less extraordinary woman. Wanda was one of the kindest, gentlest, most gracious woman we've ever known. We can't imagine the hollow place that she leaves for you. You are in our prayers and thoughts. Yes, we celebrate the amazing Wanda Bevens, but we also grieve on this side of things. We owe so much to you and Wanda. While we've been a great distance from each other for many, many years, you've never, ever been far from our hearts. We pray for peace, grace, strength, and comfort for you both now and in the days ahead. With deep love and respect, Tim and Salli Culbreth

Grant,
Was sad to read about Wanda. She was a lovely lady. I know how much my parents (Scotty & Helen Bates) loved Wanda and you. Dad and Wanda are probably singing in the choir in heaven.
