Wanda Lee Haynes, 95 of Colorado Springs, passed away on April 15, 2022, after a brief illness. Born in Amarillo, Texas, Wanda married Robert Marion Haynes, also from Amarillo, in 1945 upon his return from WWII. Bob's career as a USAF-JAG took them to assignments in Texas, Alaska, England, Washington D.C., and Colorado Springs. In addition to raising three children, Wanda was an active member of Baptist churches, a Scouting volunteer, and pursued educational and civic activities at each location. She was a medical secretary from 1966 until retirement.
A devout Christian, Wanda lived a life of service and support to family and others. She is survived by: daughter Kathy Cable and son John Haynes; sister Sue Daniels; six grandchildren Jennifer, Laura, Kelsey, Robyn, John, and Brian; seven great-grandchildren Gabriel, Kathryn, Rylee, Jordan, Ayden, Maggie and Milo; and one great-great-grandchild Leighara. Wanda was predeceased by her husband, Col. Robert Haynes, son Robert Marion Jr. (Vietnam) and sister Sharon.
Viewing will be at Swann-Law on April 25, 4-8pm followed by a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery at 3pm on April 26.
Family suggests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to Springs Rescue Mission or the charity of choice.

Just wanted to say Wanda was a sweet lady and l enjoyed having her in our Ladies SS class at CDBC for many years. So glad we will get to spend eternity together.
