Betty,
Our thoughts are with you during this most difficult time. Losing a partner of so many years together is one of the most painful things that can happen in life. There are still all the wonderful memories and friends that will help to sustain you. I am grateful to have known Warren and especially remember his rose judging being an avid gardner and loving roses. All our love is sent to you and your family,

I'm so saddened to hear that Warren has passed away. Betty, you and your family are in my prayers. I met Warren when I became involved with the Cat Fanciers Association, over 20 years ago. Warren so generously let our cat club hold monthly meetings in his veterinary office. In the ensuing years I often visited with Warren at cat shows. But it was actually through roses that Warren had a more lasting impact on my family. When we first got to know Warren and Betty, my husband and I were new homeowners. We wanted to plant several rose beds. Warren took a great deal of time explaining how to establish the beds, purchase good roses and start them properly so that they would thrive for years to come. And they continue to do well all these many years later. When I bring rose cuttings into the house later this season, I'll be thinking of Warren and the helpful start he gave us.

My family and I were very saddened by Dr. Kirkley's passing. He was my father's employer for over 20 years and a family friend who went out of his way to care for my father and my family's well being throughout that time. He will always be fondly remembered by me as a good and fair man and a talented veterinarian. Our family was very fortunate to have had our paths cross. My mother and I send the family our deepest heartfelt sympathies. I will always have fond memories of Dr. Kirkley that date back to my youth.

Warren was my last living grandfather. I loved him to pieces and had many wonderful memories of him. My most favorite and last memory of him was the two things he said to me before he passed on. He told me good luck in Steamboat for my Internship and also wanted me to take him Turkey hunting in Kansas next year. I will always remember him telling me this, until the day I die!!! I love you Grandpa:'( However I know that you are a lot better off now than you have been in a long time:)
