Wendell Taylor Obituary
Wendell was a devoted husband, father, papa and friend.
He retired as a Journeyman Mechanic from Martin Drake Power Plant in May of 2015. Wendell served his county in the U.S. Army and was a member of Prince Hall Pikes Peak Lodge #5 where he served as Worshipful Master.
As a member of True Spirit Baptist Church, he was a proud member of the Deacon Board, the Voices of Truth Choir and was also the Sunday School Superintendent.
Wendell leaves to cherish his memory the mother of his children and best friend Christine Taylor; three daughters - Kali Adams, Lawton, OK; Aiyesha Jews (Steven), Killeen, TX; Nikyra Taylor, Colorado Springs, CO; two sons - Jamal Taylor and Isaiah Taylor both of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren; two brothers - Robert Taylor Sr.; and his twin Kendall Taylor, Youngstown, OH and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his parents and his sister Charlotte J. Taylor.
Wendell will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2015 from 2-4 pm at Angelus Chapel, 1104 S. Circle Drive. There will be a Masonic Celebration following the viewing at the Funeral Home.
Homegoing Celebration will be held on Monday, September 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at True Spirit Baptist Church 5120 Astrozon Blvd, Colorado Springs. You may leave memories or condolences for the family by visiting www.angelusfuneraldirectors.com

Chris, I worked with you and Wendell at Schlage Lock Company...many years ago....but I still remember what a character Wendell was. I am so very sorry for your loss. We must always remember, when someone we love passes away, we will see them again... God bless you and your family. Thoughts and prayers to all of you. My condolences to the Taylor Family. I was privledged to meet Wendell at Memorial Hospital and what a gentleman! He loved his family and especially his children. Losing a loved is never easy but I hope it brings comfort to know he is no longer in pain. My hearts and prayers to you all.
