Wilford Thomas Ostrowski Obituary

Wilford Thomas Ostrowski passed away March 7th 2015. He left behind his longtime partner Bonnie Foster, sister Marlys Pratt, son Joseph Ostrowski, and daughter Judi Ostrowski. He was preceded in death by his wife Erys Ostrowski, his brother Dwight Ostrowski, his mother Irene Potter-Ostrowski and father John Ostrowski.

During his life, he was reared in Flagler Colorado. At a young age, the family moved to Colorado Springs. His main love was baseball. He used to go to Johnson's corner to read the ticker, play by play.

Wilford played baseball in high school. He also went to Florida to try out for AAA ball. He's loved sports! If he was still among us, he'd be at Patty Jewett, buying into the pool for March Madness.

As a child I remember; he loved golf! Patty Jewett was his favorite course. Most vacations we took, when I was young, were to go to golf tournaments. He always qualified as an amateur, however, he could have gone pro. He had a family, and integrity; therefore, he kept up with his business, and stayed an amature qualifier. In my world, he was never an amateur.

He served in the Korean War. Upon his return he went to work for Heisey's, and, in time, started his own business. It was called, Future Heating and Air Conditioning. He worked well into his seventies.

Upon retirement he enjoyed meeting his friends for lunch every afternoon. He was a good man, and loved by many. He will be missed. Services will be held at his gravesite Evergreen Cemetery 10a.m. March 20th block B site 216

Rest in peace, Stross. We spent a lot of time messin' around at Leland Osborne's home as kids.
He was a really good basketball player, too.
