Wilhelm Raumer Obituary
While traveling through the state of Colorado, Willi fell in love with the Garden of the Gods, and said, "This is the place where we will retire."
He was known to all of his friends as the German cowboy, with his Stetson hat and cowboy boots.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothea Helga; a daughter, Petra Purvin (Rainer) of Germany; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
His memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard. A Celebration of Willi's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society, 610 Abbot Lane, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80905.
