Willa Scott Obituary

Willa Jean Scott
Resident of San Ramon
Willa Jean Scott, 81, of San Ramon, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 5 surrounded by her loving family and Pastor.
Willa Jean was born in Bingham Canyon, Utah and grew up in Golden, Colorado where she met her husband Don while he was a student at the Colorado School of Mines. They were married in 1955 and moved to California in 1957, residing first in Taft, then Concord and San Ramon. They devoted themselves to raising their 4 daughters and throughout her life Willa Jean always put her family above all else.
Willa Jean was a devout member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time in Pacific Grove as well as playing bridge, bowling, working puzzles and sewing. She made matching Easter and Christmas dresses for her daughters and Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. Her happiest moments were those spent with her family for holidays and birthday celebrations and seeing her grandchildren grow up. She was blessed to have seen the birth of two great-grandchildren.
Willa Jean is survived by her husband, Don; her daughters and sons-in-law, Charon, Barb and Dave, Ginny and Milt, and John; six grandchildren, Jennessa, Brittany, April (Anthony), Brooke, Caroline and Daniel; and two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Noah. Her youngest daughter, Karen, preceded her in 2002.
Her quiet grace, ever-present smile, and unconditional love for her family will be deeply missed.
Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1225 Hopyard Rd., Pleasanton, CA or the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. A private family memorial service will be held in celebration of her life.

You will be with us today in so many ways, Mom. You and Dad gave us the gift of a loving family and a lifetime of wonderful holiday memories. I love you.

I will always remember our times together. Visits to Golden as a child, and visits to Pacific Grove where we visited everything, even orcids. I loved her, hear mother and sister. Cousin Nita Jean

Thinking of Mom today knowing that she is watching over all of us. She touched so many lives and continues to live on in our hearts and all of the precious memories we shared.

Sending my prayers to the Scott family. Mrs. Scott was like a second mom to me while I was growing up. She had a knack of making people feel special and always saw the best in everyone. I feel fortunate to have had such an amazing role model in my early years. Rest in peace, Mrs. Scott. I will miss you. Blessings to the entire family.
