I will always remember the privilege of my acquaintance with Bill as a Herald Correspondent photographer. The Herald was doing Bill's story for his service in WWII. His integrity, kind nature, and service to our country were all qualities that were very apparent and I enjoyed learning about his history and fortunate to have the opportunity to listen to such a modest and wonderful person.

Dad, you would have loved the celebration of your entire life, and history! I have your flag and am so very proud! Family and Guests spoke so well of you! Arnold told of your 40 year history , and aging together! The ceremony was magnificent. I hope we made you proud. You are deeply loved and missed. Now, you'll be next to Mom forevermore. And a little with me. Rest now, with Mom, in peace! You are Deeply loved.

My goodness, a name from the past as I frequented 31 flavors on Swarthmore...Remember Bob Fonda from Paul Revere, son, don't know if one in the same son of Mr. Fonda, but those were fond, fond memories from Palisades in better times when it was more of a close knit community...So glad Mr. Fonda had a full life and then some...My regrets to you all...Peggie (Bissell) Davis, San Ramon, California

I had the privilege and honor of meeting Bill on August 30th, 2011, when I took his photo for the Herald. He was such a gracious and humble man with so much integrity who loved to talk about his family more than sharing stories about his own military accomplishments. It was very evident to me from listening to Bill, as well as seeing the many family pictures in his home, that his wife and family meant much more to him than awards that he had received. I was very fortunate to have met Bill.
My sincerest condolences to the members of Bill's family.

May the most important person in my life, now Rest I Peace, next to Mom; we knew you'd be together soon. Words cannot express my gratitude for being the most wonderful Father in the world. I can't believe I'm not running over to have breakfast with you each morning. Trust that I will carry out your final wishes; you can count on me I love you Dad! You'll love your beautiful tribute! We are all so proud! Everlasting love, Lynne
