December 6, 2021

The family of William Mathew Amrhein, 37, sadly announces his passing in London Ontario Canada on December 6, 2021. He was born on July 6, 1984, in Colorado Springs CO and is the son of Paul William Amrhein and Carol Lee Hurst both of Colorado Springs. He was raised in Auburn and Plymouth MA and Manitou Springs CO. He was preceded in death by his uncles Leigh Alan Hurst and Michael Amrhein. He is survived by his wife, Kari Faubert and daughter Lotus Amrhein of Sarnia Ontario Canada and by his son Everett Amrhein of Loveland CO. He is also survived by siblings, Kelly Rae Teigen, Fae Amrhein-Best (Nicholas Best), Jenny Falbo, and Paul Tyler Amrhein (Juli Koplan) all from Colorado Springs. Also, he is survived by seven aunts and uncles, nine nieces and nephews and a great many cousins. His gentle, loving heart drew the attention of children and pets who gravitated to him. His two children, Everett and Lotus were his greatest joy. He was studying Engineering at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. His passion was Sustainable living including systems for renewable energy, environmental protection, organic farming and self-sustaining independent living. "Willie" was kind, generous, loving, and giving and the least judgmental person you could ever meet. He saw goodness in everyone. This profound loss for all who loved him is only mitigated by knowing that for him the strife is over.

A memorial service will be held on February 22, 2022 at 11:00am at Grace and St. Stephens Episcopal Church 601 N. Tejon Street Colorado Springs CO 80903. A reception will follow in the church parish hall.

A celebration of William's life and inurnment will take place on May 1, 2022 in Plymouth Ma.

I'm so sorry. I lost my best friend. Willie was my close comrade and friend. I moved out of state in hopes of finishing school and working with Willie to achieve our common goals and dreams. I feel like my future and my dreams have been cut from my hands. I'll never forget you Will.
