William Carter Obituary

William (Bill) Carter, 60, was born in Pueblo, CO on May 16, 1950 and passed away after a long fight on June 20, 2010 in Colorado Springs. Bill loved the world that surrounds us; every rock, every tree, every nook and cranny of nature. Bill's greatest joys in life were his road-trips and hikes to places all over the west with his digital camera, his dogs, and his very beloved wife of 36 years, Wilma Carter. He was a computer analyst by day; but an ingenious, creative, and very talented photographer/artist by passion. William is survived by his “Sweety Pie Wilma Carter of Colorado Springs; daughter Jeni Carter of Alamosa; sons John and David Carter of Colorado Springs; grandson Ryan Carter; mother Elinor Hugins and step father George Hugins of Canon City; brother Tom Carter and family of Chattanooga, TN; four-legged sons Miko, Toby, and Zeus. Bill loved his family, friends, and art. He is so loved and will be greatly missed. Services will not be held per Bill's request. In honor of him, please visit www.roseglow.com to view some of his artwork; in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Care and Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado.

My sincerest sympathy,
Bill and I grew up from grade school through high school.
Wonderful memories from making candles in cub scouts, first small plane ride over our neighborhood, West of City Park, to Saturday night joy rides.

Wilma, Jen, John, David, Ryan, I met your Dad when he came to Oracle and worked on the GL Team. He made me his Friend that day and he touched my life. La Verne and I enjoyed the opportunity to help you all move here at that time. La Verne and I often review Bill's pictures/book he gave to us and I have the picture he framed and gave to me hanging in my cube. I always enjoyed talking with Bill on so many subjects. He is missed but lives on in our memories. May God Bless each and every one of you.

My deepest condolences for your loss.
I spoke to Bill almost daily for the past several years here at Oracle. We got to know each other quite well and although we never met in person, he was a warm and caring Soul. I still have a beautiful large Photograph he took on one of his many hikes which I will dearly treasure.
My deepest sympathies.
