William Edwards Obituary

September 26, 1927 - February 1, 2005. For the friends yet to realize… Dean left us one year ago today. He will forever be remembered for the many life lessons so many learned from him with his gentle loving spirit. His joy in life was to call Square Dancing at Acacia Park in the 50's and later at Bancroft Park. His motive was to bring people together so they "could forget their worries of the day." He was a wonderful man and is missed deeply by his family and friends. Dean has Square Dancing collections at the Pioneers Museum, Pikes Peak Library, and the Library of Congress. We have asked for a Memorial Plaque for the bandstand at Bancroft Park in tribute to Dean and the Colorado Springs Square Dancing Heritage.
