William Evans Obituary

William "Bill" L. Evans, Jr. 1937 - 2012 On October 31, 2012 Bill went home to be with the Lord. He has left an enormous void in the lives of all of us who have known and loved him. He was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal carcinoid syndrome cancer in 2002 at Sansum Clinic, Santa Barbara. He was involved in 2 clinical drug trials with Cedars-Sinai Cancer Center under the treatment of Dr. Edward Wolin and staff. We decided to stop treatment and let Jesus rescue him from all his suffering. Bill is survived by his wife Margie, daughter Catherine Levison and husband Michael, Kelley Ramsey and husband Thomas; five grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, numerous other family members. He was a member of MENSA. He tried to learn all he could about his disease, seek treatment and mentor others. In celebration of his life please join us Friday, November 16, 2012 at Christ Lutheren Church, 3830 W Tulare, Visalia, CA at 11:00 a.m. in the Fireside Room. In lieu of flowers the Evans family requests contributes be given to Cedars-Sinai Cancer Ctr. Fund at SOCCI in Honor of Edward Wolin, MD in memory of William (Bill) Evans at the S.
