All of us have lost a dear and true American and friend and we are all grieved and profoundly saddened by Bill's passing. We are resolved, however, to also celebrate Bill's life - his music, his service to America and his community, his wit and humor, his wife, children, and his family and friends, his friendship and laughter, and his love of life.
We express our deepest condolences to Aunt Bets his wife, to our cousin Jan, and to Bill's children and extended family, and with a toast and blessings always to our Uncle Bill for his lifetime well-lived and the music and happiness that he brought to so many families, and family celebrations over the years.

Bill was wonderful to play with at the Municipal Band. We were all sorry when his hand kept him from playing with us, and we hoped that he would be able to join us again someday. He will be greatly missed by the music community.
