William Green Obituary

William B. Green, age 88 passed away November 30, 2016. He was born in Colorado Springs. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Maxine R. Green and daughter-in-law Linda Green. Bill will be remembered as a wonderful family man. He is survived by his sons Doug (Jane) and family, Mick and family, daughter Cindy and family. Grandchildren- Aaron, Shawn, Elise, Jared, Gabe and Avery. Great-grandchildren- Ian, Seth, KayLeigh, Abby, Bailey, Ryan, Maxwell, Micah, Rowan, Ella, Erik and Finn.

Bill served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He then worked at the post office, retiring as Assisted Postmaster of Pueblo in 1982. Bill was a long time member of Fount of Life Church, and the Eagles Lodge 143 Auxiliary, and the Pikes Peak Credit Union. After retirement he enjoyed doing many hours of volunteer taxes for the elderly.

Some of his favorite past times included fishing and watching the Broncos. Bill loved life and making his world famous pancakes for the grandkids. He was always full of joy and gratitude. Even in his last moments he was telling jokes and stories, and flirting with the nurses. Bill will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 9th at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave, at 1:00pm.
