William Major Obituary

Dear Kim and Family and Beverly and Family, I am truly sad to hear of Bill's passing. Words cannot begin to express my condolences to all of you. I remember Bill for his quick humor and humble being being; and how proud he was of his family and their accomplishments. He was a great boss to me and to many others. He will always be remembered. Bill was a breath of fresh air with a sense of humor. So glad we were able to work with him. Our sincere condolences to the family.

Bill brought sanity and levity to the workplace, that we direly needed. Working with Bill was a pleasure, and you always wanted him to succeed, mostly because he worked for his people, and not for himself. Good picture of Bill, and his smile. It tells you a lot about him. We lost a good one... Condolences to Kim and the family.

Bill--May you always know I hold a soft spot in my heart and soul for you! I'm nothing but impressed in how we went from strangers to friends. I cherish our last visit together. I will remember your smile and your laugh. I will remember you wanting so much more than what other would settle for. I knew Bill for a short time at DEC. He seem to be a very nice man and very friendly to almost everyone. He had a smile that was GREAT.VERY POSITIVE. We need more people like Bill in this world.

Bill was always up beat and saw the lighter side of things.... you will be missed and it was an extreme pleasure working with you and knowing you.....

I was so shocked and saddened when I heard of Bill's death. I worked with him at DEC for 5 years as the HR Generalist supporting his group prior to my layoff in 1992, and shared his love of running. This picture taken in 1992 at a race is of me with two other HR coworkers of Bill...Jerri Jason and Marsha Bowen. We all thought the world of him!

You have been my love, my husband, for over 15 years. As I remember so many things that we have shared, I treasure each memory. I know that the things that you were so determined to teach me was for the time that you had to leave me.
