Nancy and family,
Just heard of Bill's passing today and wanted to send you my condolences. Although our paths never crossed very often after college I have lots of fond memories of the times we spent together, and I always enjoyed seeing him when he was able to make it back to Columbus Junction.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and always hang on to the good memories.

Bill was a first class friend and fighter pilot. I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to share some more time with him after we left Tuy Hoa. I enjoyed being his flight lead or his wing man - a guy you could trust always. God be with you my friend.

Bill & I were bud's in 2nd grade through 5th grade then again classmates in high school. One memory I had was when Bill stayed overnight with me on the farm & we decided to dismantle an ol tractor my dad had in the barn lot & both had our heinies tanned by my father.

Dear Bill's family,

I only had a few opportunities to meet Bill but I am pleased to have been fortunate enough to do so and have a few conversations with him. Bill lived a wonderful and honorable life and his career as a fighter pilot surrounded by a large and wonderful family could not be more inspiring. I read a Facebook post today by Emilie (Straka) commenting on a picture of Jackson (Coleman) and how much he looked like Bill in that photo. I'm glad that Jackson was able to meet him and I know that Bill will always be an inspiration and role model for him - and all of us just as my grandfathers are to me. It is comforting to know that Bill is in a more peaceful place. My sympathies and prayers are with you all.

My Sincere Condolences,

Christopher J. Coleman
