William "Bill" Paul Middleton, 73, passed away Friday night in the comfort of his home, while surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Goldie; his father, William; brother, Darrell; and sisters, Linda and Delores. Also known as, Butch and Grumpa, he is survived by his wife, Cheryl; son, Michael; daughter-by-love, Lori; grandson, "mini-me," Logan Paul; brothers, Richard and Willie; sisters, Joyce and Trudy; sisters-in-law, Patricia, Marty (Art) and Alice; along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition, he is also survived by his family of choice, Kris, Michele, Taylor, Leah and Daniel; adopted-by-love grandsons, Kameron and Dylan; and the Lastra/Baruso family. Bill was born and raised in Detroit Mich. He overcame many adversities in life and proved himself to be a proud Patriot. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and upon his return from Viet Nam, was stationed at Ft. Carson. He fell in love with the state of Colorado and made it his home. Bill retired after 32 years of service in the Department of Defense, attaining the position of Supervisory Maintenance Management Specialist in DOL at Ft. Carson. He will be remembered for his caring heart, generosity and his defiant stubbornness. Bill was a believer in Christ and he will be greatly missed until the day he is rejoined by his family in God's Kingdom. The family would like to extend a "Thank You" to all who have shown their support and love. Celebration of life, 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Oasis Church, 347 S.
