William Moran Obituary

William Vincent Moran Sept. 27, 1959 ~Dec. 29, 2012 Resident of Vallejo William "Billy" Moran, 53 passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29 at a local hospital of a brief illness.William was born in San Pablo CA. Mr. Moran was employed by Pinole Point Steel for 20 years, starting as a line worker and moving into management. He was also a flight instructor of Cessna and twin engine planes at Concord airport. Bill was proud of his Native American Heritage and belonged to Sealaska Corp. He was a member of Richmond Rod and Gun Club and Elks Lodge. Bill's hobbies included camping, fishing, motorcycles, gambling, traveling and flying. Bill even flew his family to Alaska. He also loved to vacation with his family in Cancun, Mexico. He was preceded in death by his sons; Robert Moran, Steven Moran and Joseph Moran, his father, Raymond Moran, step-father, Sonny Dunn and brother, Ronnie Dunn. Bill is survived by his ex-wife, Diane Moran, daughter, Angela Moran, son, Michael Moran, mother, Marilyn Dunn, sisters Barbara (Tom) Greene, Stacy Clanton all of Vallejo, best friends, David Wanlass, Geno Flowers, Joe Hunt, Bill McCune, several nieces and nephews. Bill had a big heart and endless love for his family and friends. He felt strongly about having respect for your fellow man and went out of his way to help anyone who asked. He also knew the importance of a family's bond which he instilled in all his children. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, 524 Capitol St., Vallejo, CA officiated by Johnny Karoglou. Inurnment is private. Arrangements by Skyview Memorial Lawn.
