William Owens Obituary

Born January 21, 1930 passed away Saturday May 7, 2005. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Owens and one brother, Robert Owens. Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years, Martha Cooper Steele and two children: Steve of Colorado Springs and Shellie of Palo Alto, CA; two brothers: Jerry Owens (Deloris), Richard Owens (Carol); and sister-in-law, Estelle Owens all of Greensboro, NC; five step-children: Connie (Mike) Behm of Loveland, CO, Herbert (Kathy) Steele of Austin, TX, Monty Steele of Milwaukee, WI, Lourie Garoutte of Colorado Springs, a loving family friend and caregiver; five grandchildren: Daniel and Kenneth Redlich of Loveland, CO, Adam, Sarah, Anna Steele of Austin, TX, Andrew Blake and Jeffery William Steele of Colorado Springs, CO. Bill retired for the United State Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant. After retirement he worked at Colorado Springs National Bank (Wells Fargo) until he retired in 1985. Bill was a member of The Retired Enlisted Association, the Elks 309, and the Armed Forces Top Enlisted Association. Bill was truly loved and will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Bills name to Pikes Peak Hospice. A public visitation will be held on Thursday May 12, 2005 at Mountain View Mortuary from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life Service to follow.

I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS,I HOPE YOU WILL BOTH HAVE SOME COMFORT IN THAT HE HAD SO MANY FRIENDS AND NEVER HAD A CRUEL WORD FOR ANYONE,I WILL MISS HIM.
