Vice Admiral William "Bill" E. Ramsey, USN (ret.)

Vice Admiral William E. "Bill" Ramsey, USN (ret.) passed away in Pensacola, FL., on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the age of 86. Survivors include his wife, "Scottie"; two surviving sons and their wives, Tim & Robyn and Chris & Tammy.
He was the Deputy Commander of the both the U.S. Space Command and North American Aerospace Defense Command.
There will be a committal Service May 17 at the United States Naval Academy.

It was an honor to serve under your leadership in the IKE. Under your tutelage I made Chief Petty Officer and became Surface Warfare Specialist qualified. Of my 30 years of Naval Service, you were the finest Commanding Officer I had the pleasure to serve under, bar none. Rest in peace Skipper.

Rest In Peace Admiral, We have an incredible and awesome journey together on board the IKE CVN-69. We became the #1 Aircraft Carrier through your great leadership and care for your people. Thank you for everything. We will miss you and from the S-4 Div. Supply Dept. (Disbursing Office) we bid you farewell and a happy reunion with our Creator. Our heartfelt condolences to the Ramsey family. God Bless!!
