William Redding Obituary
Bill was born on June 30, 1932 in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from DU with a degree in graphic design and came to Colorado Springs to work at the Air Force Academy when it opened in 1954. He often talked about all the fond memories he had at the Academy and meeting/seeing the variety of important figures that came through its doors.
In 1964 Bill married Jean Janakka Redding and together they had two children, Kari Keever and Kirk, and two loving granddaughters, Madeline and Emma. Also, mourning his departure are his three sisters, Beverly, Marlee, and Mary Grace, and his extended family, the Robert Thompson's, and sons. Also, saddened by his death are his sister-in-law, Betsy Cary and brother-in-law, Steve Janakka, and their families.
A private family memorial will be held on his birthday in June. A memorial donation can be sent in Bill's name to Cheyenne Village, 6275 Lehman Drive, Colorado Springs, CO, 80918.
