William Schonfeld Obituary

William (Bill) Henry Schonfeld, beloved husband, incredible father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on June 20, 2015 in Colorado Springs at the age of 86. Bill was born March 10th, 1929 to Henry and Wilhelmine Schonfeld in Nyack, NY, He was the brother of Eleanor Schonfeld (Edsall).

Bill served his country with the US Army. His lifelong love of automobiles, his family and his social nature were the keys to his happiness.

Bill met the love of his life, Jean Claire Blauvelt in 1953, married in 1954 and had two children, Richard and Debra. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1986 to join their children and grandchildren. They enjoyed many years of camping and traveling through Colorado and Arizona.

His love, Jean, passed away in September of 1999.

He is survived by his son Rick, his wife Rosa, granddaughter Erika Schonfeld of Tucson, daughter Debra, her husband Claude Comito, grandson Brian Comito, granddaughter Lauren (Comito) Perrault, son in law Mark Perrault, great grandchildren Cater and Addison Perrault of Colorado Springs.

A memorial service will be July 6th at 1:00pm at Broadmoor Community Church 315 Lake Ave, Colorado Springs, 80906.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at Pikes Peak Hospice.

I've known Bill a long time probably from High School in Pearl River NY. Had many great times together Will miss knowing he's no longer with us,but will remember his smile and happy personality. My sympathy goes out to his family and also his sister Eleanor.
