William Skelton Obituary

Skelton
William Michael Skelton
4/23/1951 - 1/18 2018
"Mike" was born in California and lived in Colorado since 1981. He was a very special person who will be missed by all who knew him. He was cared for in his last years by the wonderful people in one of Cheyenne Village's group homes. He enjoyed going to a day program at Special Kids Special Families and church at New Life.
Before he was paralyzed, Mike was very active and rode the bus all over town getting to know people. He was awarded Goodwill Graduate of the Year in 1990, was the King in Cheyenne Village's production of "The King and I", and the Tinman in "The Wizard of Oz." He loved the Broncos, cowboys, rodeos, country music and played the guitar and banjo. He had a great sense of humor though he communicated largely nonverbally after his stroke. Mike touched the lives of many and spread sunshine wherever he went.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Parke and Martha Skelton, and his brothers, Parke Kent and Richard.
He is survived by sisters Virginia and Victoria.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at All Souls Unitarian/Universalist Church on 730 N. Tejon St. It will be held Sunday, March 4 at 2p.m.
