William Swanson Obituary

William "Bill" Swanson 35 year resident of Rodeo CA. Feb. 6 1975 ~ Aug. 28, 2014 Our brave hero Bill passed away after 39 years of fighting the side effects of Spinabifida, including 21 surgeries. Survived by his heart broken parents Ted & Claudia Swanson who were care givers for his lifetime, his grieving brother Bobby, Bobby's wife Christina and compassionate nieces Sarah and Emily, nephew Robert, friend and uncle Tom Cummings and many uncles, aunts and cousins. His parents are most grateful to all the wonderful medical people. The good news is Bill is with his grandparents in heaven where no wheel chairs are allowed. He graduated from John Swett High School in 1994 and attended DVC when health permitted. Bill attended Valley Bible Church for 30 years, where his home coming celebration will take place on September 5th at 11 AM at 1477 Willow Ave Hercules.

I was so sad to hear of Billy's passing. I remember his freckles, his smile and his energy. Ted and Claudia were always such generous and engaged parents. My years as his teacher were a joy. I am happy to have known him and his whole family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, Pat Burke

Dear Claudia, Ted, and Bobby,
I just heard about Bill, and send you all my love. Billy, as he was known when I knew him, was such a great kid! He always made me laugh, and I keep him in my heart. Love, Mimi Deegan
