William W. Van Allen TRENTON - William W. Van Allen, Jr., 64, of Trenton, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 27, 2014, at Capital Health Medical Center - Hopewell. Born in Mineola, NY, Will has been a long-time Trenton resident. Until the time of his death, he was an assistant manager for many years with RiteAid in Pennington. Will was a Volvo car enthusiast and an active member of the Volvo Club of America. He, along with Gregory, were co-owners of the only Volvo hearse in North America. Son of the late William W. and Dolores Kathryn Offerman Van Allen Sr., he is survived by his domestic partner of 38 years, Gregory R. Miller of Trenton; his step-mother, Edith Van Allen of CT; two half-brothers, Derek and Warren Van Allen; two "brothers-in-law", William Miller and wife Martha of Denver, CO; Martin Miller and wife Mary of Yardley, PA; one "sister-in-law", Constance O'Dwyer and husband Michael of Millbrea, CA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Funeral services were private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were by the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton.
