William Wendt Obituary

William "Bill" James Wendt died August 1, 2008 while waiting for a heart transplant. He was born December 29, 1945 in Hollywood, CA to John Edward (deceased) and Clara Wendt. He moved to Colorado Springs, CO in 1949, where he lived until 1990, then moving to Beloit, KS. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; mother, Clara of Colorado Springs; a son, John (Crystal), Mesa, AZ and two daughters, Barbara (Don) Hawkins, WA and Trisha, Cedar Rapids, IA; brothers and sisters, John (Jill) Wendt, Queens Creek, AZ, Tricia (Wayne) Marshall of Colorado Springs, Suzzan (Brian) Stark, Dallas, TX and Richard of Colorado Springs; seven nephews and nieces; Matthew, Peter (Susie), Andrew, Whitney, Ashley, Alex and Scott, and two grandchildren Seth and Jayden. His two dogs Tippy, Sally and many cats. His love for all animals, antiquing, cars and auctions was shown through his array of pets and collections. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael's The Archangels, 7400 Tudor Road, Colorado Springs, CO. A private family inurnment will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Post Rock Human Society at P.O. Box 165, Beloit, KS 67420 in his name.
