William "Woody" Loring Woodward passed away suddenly at home on March 16, 2022. He was in his favorite chair, in the arms of his loving wife.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Diana, and three children: Bree Woodward and her husband Jimmy, Amanda Good and her husband Brenden, and Dean Woodward and his wife Joy. He is also survived by his two brothers: Eddie, his wife Caryn, and their three children Emily, Jacob and Brendon, and his youngest brother Jimmy.
He was a loving, joyful man with a zest for life that will be intensely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memorial service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 2pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs. To view full obituary, visit www.evergreenfuneralhome.org.

Everyone who knew Woody will miss him terribly. He and I were college roommates (UConn, 72 or so). 18 months of fun, discovery, adventure, music, conversation, humor, growth, and humanity. He was a master, even then, of those art forms. And a great writer and teacher.
I feel lucky to have known him so long, & bummed cuz I thought it would be so much longer. So sorry Diane, Bree, Dean, Amanda.
