In Memory of Willie Lewis Mcclendon Willie Lewis Mcclendon, 73, passed away on January 7, 2009. Willie was born on April 13, 1935, in Winona, Mississippi, to Odell McClendon and Anna Hampton. In 1983, Willie married his wife, Roberta Sterling. Willie was a retired heavy equipment operator and watermelon salesperson, and enjoyed fishing. Before moving to Colorado Springs, in 1957, Willie lived in Littlefield, Texas, Chicago, Illinois, and Omaha, Nebraska. Willie leaves to cherish his memory: his Wife, Roberta McClendon; daughters, Jasena McClendon and Villie McClendon both of Omaha, Nebraska, Vanata Williams of Chicago, Illinois, Shelia McClendon of Starkville, Mississippi, Jessie Jeffery, Tonya Cooksey, and Leona Robinson, all of Colorado Springs; Sons, Michael McClendon of Las Vegas, Nevada, Robert Dailey and Joseph Dailey both of Colorado Springs; Sister, Shirley Anne Roseby of Omaha, Nebraska; 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and host of relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. Willie is preceded in death by his: parents, Odell McClendon and Anna Hampton; Step-Mother, Beaulah Palmer; and Sister Yvonna McClendon.
