Winifred Lane Obituary

Winifred "Iris" Lane March 26, 1916 - October 1, 2007. Winifred "Iris" Lane, 91, beloved grandmother, wife and mother, died on October 1, 2007. Iris passed peacefully at Hallmark Nursing Center in Littleton. Born on March 26, 1916 in Phillipsburg, KS and married on January 14th, 1932, Iris was a mother of seven children and held a distinguished and enjoyable career as a real estate agent in Colorado Springs, as well as being a land developer in Penrose for ten years before their final move to Denver in 1994. Iris continually reached out to help all those in need and was a good Samaritan to all those she came into contact with. Iris is survived by her 4 daughters and son-in-laws Vicki and Steven Ramirez, Littleton, Marcia and Ron Duell, Estes Park, Luanne and Rick Dunn, Fayetteville, GA and Barbara and Tim Martin, Penrose, 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many other dear friends and family members. Iris was preceded in death by her three sons and her husband Irwin Mac Lane who served as a United States Postal Carrier and passed on September 5, 1996.The family would like to give special thanks to those individuals who throughout the years assisted in providing care and support to Iris. Memorial service 11:00 a.m. October 16, 2007 at Cherry Hills Full Gospel Center, 4860 South Clarkson Street, Englewood. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Shiloh House directly through their website at www.shilohhouse.org.
