Zane William Ward, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away suddenly on August 20, 2022 at the age of 41. Zane was born on September 3, 1980 in Boise, Idaho where he spent the first years of his life before relocating to Austin, Texas. Growing up in the Lonestar State, he quickly became a diehard UT Longhorns fan & made lifelong friends. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin, TX in 1998. He moved to Colorado in 2007 where he met the love of his life, Carrie. Together they enjoyed fly fishing, smokin' meats, concerts & exploring the beautiful State of Colorado. In February of 2009, they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Autumn. Being a father, husband & provider came naturally to Zane. Zane's life was tragically cut short, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends forever. Zane is survived by his Wife, Carrie Fields; Daughter, Autumn Grace Ward; Grandmother, Dorothy Pace; Father, Tom (Beth) Ward; Mother, Sue Turner; Sister, Kathryn (Jon) Tennell; Nephews, Logan and Austin Tennell as well as numerous close friends and other family members. Zane was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Morgan Pace, Herman & Joyce Ward; and his Best Friend, Jared Spafford.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 17, 2022 at the Green Mountain Falls Gazebo from 10:30 am to 12:30 p.m. In Lue of flowers, donations can be made to help Carrie and Autumn through this difficult time. https://gofund.me/c8a84689
