Daniel Steven Polonis

Easthampton, MA - Daniel Steven Polonis, 73 of Easthampton MA, passed away on May 26, 2024 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton. Born on October 1, 1950, in Northampton MA, he was the son of the late Stanley Daniel Polonis and Stella "Stephania" (Benedysiuk) Polonis. Daniel graduated from Sacred Heart Elementary School and from the Business program at Easthampton High School. Daniel spent his whole career as a Client Caretaker for several area Human Service Agencies. He was a member of the Pulaski Club in Easthampton. He was a regular at most area church picnics. Daniel attended weekend Polish concerts in South Hadley, Three Rivers, and Enfield CT. He was a faithful listener of Polish radio with Charlie Curtin on WMUA and also Billy Belina. Daniel was an avid Red Sox fan.

He was a patient at Care One in Northampton since August of 2018. The family would like to thank Care One and Cooley Dickinson ICU for the wonderful care they provided to Daniel.

Daniel leaves his loving family: his brother Donald Polonis and his wife Ellen Glosick of Easthampton, his niece Missy (Melissa Ann) Polonis of Easthampton, his nephew Tim (Timothy Francis) Polonis and his wife Katie Engerman and their children Ava Polonis and Joseph Polonis of Chicopee, Patrick Wells of Ware and Madelynn Wells and her Fiancé Leonard Resto and their son Jacob Xavier Resto of Easthampton.

He was predeceased by his parents and his great nephew Timothy Joseph (TJ) Polonis.

Calling hours will be held from the Boucher - O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St. Easthampton, MA on Sunday, June 2nd from 6-8 p.m.

His funeral will begin on Monday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Valley Parish. His burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery off Holyoke Street in Easthampton.
